Introducing “Festival Hymn Settings for Worship”
Although I haven’t posted anything since the summertime, it has still been an active time here at Hedgerow. I have been putting effort into editing the many hymn settings that I’ve written for congregational worship, and today I’m pleased to officially launch our newest series, Festival Hymn Settings for Worship. This series is comprised exclusively of hymn settings for congregational singing utilizing a variety of instrumental forces (mostly brass or full orchestra). I strove to make each setting distinguished but accessible. Church choirs and congregants need nothing more than hymnals or lyrics on a screen, but several arrangements also include optional descants and Amens for directors who would like them. Other performance suggestions are listed on the inside cover of the full score for each piece.
The first two settings in this series are now available for purchase, and many more are on the way. Soon, you will find selections for Advent, Christmas, Easter, Holy Week, and general usage. You can peruse the full catalog here. I hope you will find something of use to you and your congregation.
Thanks for taking a look!
